Doug Bartlett

Doug Bartlett is a seasoned veteran of the bluegrass circuit, with over 40 years of professional experience. A gifted multi-instrumentalist and singer, he has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Doug has performed with some of the genre’s most iconic bands, including Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, the Lonesome River Band, the James King Band, and the Del McCoury Band.
His career highlights include two IBMA Awards and two Grammy nominations, reflecting both his talent and influence in the bluegrass community. In addition to his instrumental and vocal work, Doug is a respected songwriter, with solo albums and a catalog of well-known co-writes to his name.
Daxson Lewis
Banjo, Percussion, & Vocals
Daxson Lewis is the Director of the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music at Morehead State University and a 2024 inductee into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame as a member of the legendary McLain Family Band. A nationally and internationally touring musician, Daxson has performed across the United States, Canada, and in countries including China, Denmark, Ireland, Hungary, and Slovakia.
He has made numerous appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, performing alongside acclaimed artists such as Dailey and Vincent and Riders In the Sky, and has been featured as a soloist with symphony orchestras, showcasing his versatility across genres and stages..
John Curtis Goad
Bass & Vocals
John Curtis Goad is a dedicated educator and accomplished musician with deep roots in the bluegrass community. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music from East Tennessee State University and is a graduate of Leadership Bluegrass. A former member of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Board of Directors, John has long been an advocate for the music and its future.
Since its launch, he has contributed to Bluegrass Today, helping document and shape the conversation around the genre. As a performer, John has shared the stage with respected artists including Larry Sparks, Brand New Strings, James King, and Ralph Stanley II.
